Promoting Movement, Improving Function, Elevating Health

What is Allied Health Chiropractic (AHC) ?

Allied Health Chiropractic (AHC) is a Chiropractic office that combines aspects of Chiropractic, Medical Acupuncture, and Physical Therapy under one roof. What separates AHC from other facilities, is that it prioritizes two aspects; highly personalized care, and longer face to face time between the doctor and patient. AHC opened in 2020 by the owner Dr. Ronald Ayello, to make these two aspects function together cohesively. This allows AHC to provide the quality of care that can maximize results and help individuals reach their goals.

A Common Problem Experienced

In adolescence Dr. Ron was a competitive gymnast who spent years navigating injuries while trying to maintain his sport's performance. Each setback led to a familiar result—care that involved limited time with the provider issuing treatment, and an ineffective treatment plan that didn't meet the goals of care. It raised an important question: if everyone's body and every demand placed on it is different, how can a one-size-fits-all approach truly work? What if someone needs more hands on work than just the initial instruction on two or three exercises? What if the reason treatment is unsuccessful, is because there is more than one issue present?

As time went on more injuries would acrew, and like many athletes, it would come time to move on despite the feeling of lost potential.

A Better Way Forward

Dr. Ron decided to pursue a career in healthcare for the purpose of learning how the body functions. He chose to become a Chiropractor, as being a Chiropractic patient provided substantial relief during his time as an athlete. Since attaining his Doctorate of Chiropractic, Dr. Ron has worked as a Chiropractor in various settings, including facilities with Physical Therapy and Acupuncture. Sadly, he often encountered what left him frustrated when he was young; patients not reaching goals due to lack of time available with the provider. This would inevitably lead to more individuals "falling through the cracks" due to the inability of facilities to provide the necessary time for each patient.

This made Dr. Ron decide to create a place able to meet that need, a place that could help people, like himself, meet their potential and goals.

Dr. Ron Ayello graduated from the Northeast College of Health Sciences in 2019, with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. He has since extended his education of the human body to Medical Acupuncture, to provide more options for patients to reach the best possible result with care. With a lifelong passion for movement and performance, he aims for AHC to be a place that everyone could benefit from, whether someone is an athlete or not.

Chiropractic Manipulation

DESCRIPTION

Chiropractic Manipulation, also called a Chiropractic Adjustment, uses gentle, controlled movements to improve how your joints move and feel. The goal is to improve range of motion, reduce pain, and help your nervous system function at its best to recover more effectively.

IS THIS SERVICE FOR YOU?

Chiropractic Manipulation is an excellent option for individuals experiencing symptoms such as: neck pain, back pain, headaches, joint stiffness, poor posture, or discomfort  sitting/standing for long periods. It can also support people recovering from sports injuries, repetitive strain, or everyday wear and tear who prefer a non-surgical, drug-free approach to pain relief and mobility. Chiropractic Manipulation can benefit a wide variety of other symptoms or injuries, don't hesitate to ask how Chiropractic Manipulation can help you.

WHAT DOES A SESSION LOOK LIKE?

At your visit, your Chiropractor will review your health history, discuss your symptoms, and perform a physical exam to identify areas of restriction or dysfunction. You’ll then lay or sit comfortably while the doctor applies precise, targeted movements to specific joints—often with gentle pressure or a quick, controlled impulse—to restore motion; you may hear light popping sounds, and most people feel relief, more flexibility, or easier movement as the session finishes.

Neuromuscular Re-Education

DESCRIPTION

Stretching/Active Release Therapy is a form of hands-on treatment that combines targeted stretching with precise soft-tissue techniques to release tension in muscles, tendons, and fascia. The goal is to break up adhesions, improve flexibility, restore normal movement, and reduce pain or tightness caused by overuse, poor posture, or injury.

IS THIS SERVICE FOR YOU?

This service may be a good fit if you feel chronically tight or stiff, have muscle knots or “trigger points”, experience pain with certain movements,  or have reduced range of motion in areas like the neck, shoulders, hips, or low back. It is often recommended for athletes, active individuals, or anyone dealing with repetitive strain from work, training, or daily activities.

WHAT DOES A SESSION LOOK LIKE?

During a session, your provider will first identify tight or restricted areas, then apply gentle to firm pressure while guiding you through specific movements or stretches. You may be asked to actively move a joint or muscle while it is being treated, which helps release adhesions and improve mobility. With the Doctor and the patient working together in unison, the results can yield looser, smoother, more comfortable movement.

Medical Acupuncture

DESCRIPTION

Medical Acupuncture is the linking of acupuncture's physiological benefits on the body with western medical knowledge and principles. Acupuncture places thin and sterile needles at specific points in the body to influence nerves, muscles, and circulation. It has incredible versatility as it can be combined with electro-stimulation to activate the surrounding musculature.  It is often integrated with chiropractic and other conservative therapies to reduce pain, calm muscle tension, and promote the body’s natural healing response.

WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

Medical Acupuncture can help with an extensive variety of symptoms and diagnosis'. Some examples would be the following; chronic muscle tension, joint or spine-related pain, neuropathy, headaches, or stress-related symptoms. Medical Acupuncture isn't limited to only people with pain, it can also provide benefits for athletic performance and general wellness. Always feel free to ask your doctor how Medical Acupuncture could benefit you.

WHAT DOES A SESSION LOOK LIKE?

Your practitioner will review your medical history, examine the involved areas, and select specific points based on your condition and goals. You will rest comfortably while very fine needles are inserted and left in place for several minutes. During this time, a patient may feel a mild, brief sensation or heaviness around the area. Most patients find the experience relaxing, often leaving with a sense of reduced tension/pain, improved comfort, and/or improved range of motion.
